
Rosa Sanchez Salgado is an associate professor on European Politics (Political Science Department). Her research has for a long time focused on the efforts by EU institutions, above all the Commission, to shape civil society organizations, social movements, and social protest. She has also investigated cultural and institutional diversity in European policy making.
Her research focus has shifted in the last years to the analysis of the role of emotions in policymaking. This includes the analysis of how mindfulness practice can contribute to the understanding of major challenges of the present time. She has published two monographs and many research articles in high impact academic journals including, for example, Journal of Common Market Studies, Journal of European Integration and West European Politics.
